Additional Design Components

Extra bite-size examples of design thinking from various projects. For longer-form design thinking and process please view the Projects page.

Loan Officer Drawer (Sheet) View

Objective: Design a web page that concisely showcases competing loan officers to potential borrowers while providing the ability for users to get more information on each loan officer.

After reviewing site analytics for the previously designed page, users typically bounced before seeing all the loan officers listed. I decided to place extra information about the loan officer within the newly added drawer/sheet.

Community Impact Page

Objective: Design an engaging page that tells the story of the community impact program while highlighting important partners and milestones along the way.

I introduced a new highlighting feature to bring attention to the various areas of impact. Through user testing, I found the new method of switching photos (hovering or clicking on the highlighted text) was not obvious. Later added photo indicators to align with the mental model.

Application Process

Objective: Design a way for users (prospective employees) to quickly understand the employer’s application process.

After speaking with users about career searches and application processes, I found that users want to know what the application process from start to acceptance looks like.
